Animal shots of the week

In an Aug. 8, 2013 photo provided by the Detroit Zoological Society, new red panda twins are seen at the zoo in Royal Oak, Mich. The zoo announced Tuesday that the male twins were born June 27 to 8-year-old mother Ta-Shi and 4-year-old father Shifu. The twins don't yet have names. The zoo says they can be seen intermittently in their wooded habitat, though they spend most of the time in a nest box. The twins' birth marks the first time Ta-Shi and Shifu have produced offspring and the fifth time Ta-Shi has given birth since her arrival at the Detroit Zoo in 2008.
