Border busts

Alba L. Siqueiros-Bustamante, 45, of San Luis, Rio Colorado, Sonora, Mexico, was arrested July 11, at the town’s border crossing after officers say she tried to smuggle more than 36 pounds of cocaine into Arizona. A drug dog alerted to the Pontiac sedan she was driving and officers found  15 packages of cocaine in the rear quarter panels. according to a U.S. Customs and Border Protection news release.

The drugs, valued at $331,000, and vehicle were seized. Siqueiros was turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations.
