Tucson police have issued an arrest warrant for a suspect in the armed robbery of a credit union office Friday.

They are looking for Brian Christopher Peters, 38, who is charged in the warrant with armed robbery and kidnapping. Detectives say he may have family in Alabama and Mississippi and might have left Arizona.

Peters, suspected of robbing the Hughes Federal Credit Union office at 280 N. Pantano Road at gunpoint, is described in a police news release as 6-foot-1, 175 pounds, with hazel eyes and salt-and-pepper hair.

"Mr. Peters was observed fleeing the bank on a dark purple or black 1998 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle bearing an Arizona license plate MC8P4S," the police news release says. Anyone with information on where he is is asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME, an anonymous tip line.
