Boeing's Mesa helicopter operation has been awarded an Army contract worth up to $904 million to produce 36 new Block III Apache attack helicopters for South Korea, including logistical support, spare parts and a Longbow crew trainer.

The contract, approved through the Foreign Military Sales program, will be funded with fiscal 2013 procurement and foreign military sales funding, the Pentagon said in a contract notice.
