Arizona gas prices rose slightly this week, even as the nationwide average dropped, according to the latest figures from AAA Arizona.
The statewide average price for a gallon of regular gas rose just under a penny this week, to $3.40 per gallon on Friday. The nationwide average shed about 4 cents to $3.54 per gallon.
Tucson held onto the state's lowest average gas price, at $3.30 per gallon, up about a penny from last week. Flagstaff had the highest average price at $3.63 per gallon on Friday.
The slight bump in Arizona gas prices this week is likely to be short-lived, as tensions in Syria wane and seasonal price declines set in, AAA said.
