Growing customer-service call center operator Afni Inc. said it plans to hire more than 150 new full-time workers here during April.
To help fill the customer-service positions, Afni will host a job fair Tuesday, from 3 to 7 p.m., at the company's Riverside Crossing location, 5320 N. La Cholla Blvd.
Afni, one of Tucson's biggest employers, provides customer-service call-center services to clients across multiple industries, including telecommunications, health care, insurance and financial services.
Afni said its "customer care consultants" answer inbound phone calls from clients' customers to help with product and service questions, issues related to billing, and selling of additional services.
The company says it offers competitive pay with paid training. After training, employees are eligible for bonuses and a full line of benefits such as paid time off; medical, dental, vision and life insurance; disability coverage; 401(k) retirement plans; and tuition reimbursement.

Afni ranked 23rd among Southern Arizona's largest employers last year, with 2,100 full-time-equivalent employees, according to the Star 200 survey of the region's major employers.
The company now counts nearly 2,200 local workers, up from around 1,400 in 2008.
