The Carondelet Health & Wellness Pavilion in Sahuarita is set to open in November 2014.

The 14,000-square-foot clinic, with a Spanish mission facade, will be located along Desert Gem Road, just south of Sahuarita Road. It will be decorated with clay tile roofs, stone exteriors, turrets and a pergola.

The Carondelet Health & Wellness Pavilion is a model of health care for a modern age, Christen Castellano, Carondelet executive vice president and chief strategy officer, said in a news release. This unique venue will meet those needs now and possess the structural and programmatic flexibility to grow its on-site services as the community around it grows.

The pavilion will feature a glass-enclosed children’s playroom, a family waiting room and a separate waiting area for individuals and seniors looking for a quieter environment.

In the evenings, these lobby areas can serve as a gathering place for educational classes, wellness workshops and health screenings by Carondelet.

The clinic will have 27 exam rooms and nine doctors.

Construction on the $6.5 million project is set to begin in January.
