Depending on the size of your business, different provisions of the Affordable Care Act may apply. This is why it’s important that small business owners know the facts about the law and use them to make any business decisions.

This tool uses several prompts including your business’s location, size, and whether you currently offer insurance to connect you with the resources you need from Small Business Administration , the Department of Health and Human Services, the Department of Treasury and our other federal partners.

For example, if you’re a small- business owner in Arizona with more than 50 employees, but many are part time, you calculate the equivalent for two employees, each of whom works 15 hours per week, as one full-time employee.

This tool provides the facts for the self-employed with no employees, fewer than 25 employees, up to 50 employees and 50 or more employees.
