Opportunity knocked, and Tucson's Architectural Elements answered.

The Home Depot's newly redesigned electronic catalog will feature the company's products, which will also be available in 638 Home Depot stores in 10 states.

Architectural Elements, 1440 S. Euclid Ave., is a locally owned and operated custom door and window distribution and supply company.

Although this is the first time Architectural Elements' custom doors will be in the electronic catalog, the two companies' relationship goes back to 2007.

Aaron Sluder, Architectural Elements' general manager, said his company started as a vendor with Arizona's 56 Home Depot stores in 2007.

In addition to having its own products available at Home Depot, Architectural Elements recently acquired an Albuquerque-based custom door manufacturer called Autumn Wood, which already had been offering its products in 100 Home Depot stores.

"The expansion means we can provide more jobs locally," Sluder said. "We'll be able to grow and hopefully be a bigger presence in Tucson."
