New CFO for Community Foundation

Katherine “Missy” Bowden has joined the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona as chief financial officer.

She is responsible for managing the financial operations of CFSA, which includes planning and strategic development, overseeing systems for reporting program and financial activities, and safeguarding assets.

Bowden brings 25 years of experience in bank accounting and financial reporting to the position. For the past 17 years she has been chief financial officer of the Bank of Tucson.

She has been a board member of La Paloma Family Services for 11 years, serving in roles including secretary, vice chair and finance committee member. She has also served on the boards of the Arizona Center for the Study of Children and Families and Kids-Aid.

Solon taps industry veterans

Solon Corp. announced two hires:

John Kintz is managing director of the project finance group, responsible for commercial and utility-scale solar project financings; and Jeff Calabro is senior director of procurement and acquisitions.

Before joining Solon, Kintz was a director of project finance at SunPower Corp.; and vice president of portfolio trading and acquisitions at Bank of America.

Calabro previously was senior director of procurement and asset management at PsomasFMG. He has more than 14 years of experience in the photovoltaic industry, having worked for Kyocera Solar, Canadian Solar, SunEdison and Amonix.
