St. Gregory school names Sherrill to lead
St. Gregory College Preparatory School has appointed Julie A. Sherrill as the new head of school effective July 2013.
Sherrill currently is principal at Sunrise Drive Elementary School in the Catalina Foothills School District.
She was appointed by the St. Gregory Board of Trustees after an 18-month national search.
She began her career as a high school teacher in California and Ohio after receiving a bachelor's degree from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo. She earned a master's degree in education administration and a Ph.D. in professional development of teachers from Ohio State University.
She then was an administrator at Ohio State, and a high school assistant principal and a middle school principal in Ohio. She has been principal at Sunrise Drive since 2003.
St. Gregory College Preparatory School is an independent school for students in grades six through 12. The school has no religious affiliation.
New center treats peripheral neuropathy
Realief Neuropathy Centers, which treats peripheral neuropathy, has expanded to Arizona with the Realief Neuropathy Center of Southern Arizona.
The center is owned and operated by Gerald Parks, D.C., at 10420 N. La Cañada Drive in Oro Valley. Parks has worked in Tucson for 27 years, the center said in a news release.
Todd Ackerman joins Raskob Kambourian
Trust and estate administrator Todd Ackerman has joined the tax and investment advisory firm of Raskob Kambourian Financial Advisors.
A longtime Tucsonan, Ackerman received a bachelor's of science in business and an MBA from the University of Arizona. He is a member of the Tucson Rotary Club.
Vallee Gold Team joins Long Realty
The Vallee Gold Team, co-owned by Realtors Don and Kathy Vallee, has joined Long Realty at the office at River Road and Campbell Avenue.
The Vallee Gold Team has been in business since 2000, focusing on Tucson and Oro Valley. In addition to the owners, it includes four buyer specialists and a transaction coordinator.
The team has done community service work with Habitat for Humanity, Gabriel's Angels, the Boys and Girls Club, and the Children's Miracle Network.
