A hotel at St. Philip’s Plaza is getting a multimillion-dollar makeover under a new owner.

Atlanta-based Noble Investment Group announced Wednesday that it has acquired the Windmill Suites Hotel Tucson, 4250 N. Campbell Ave., and a Windmill Suites in Chandler. Noble said it plans to renovate both hotels at a total cost of more than $18 million. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The 122-suite Tucson property will get more than $9 million in upgrades and be rebranded Homewood Suites by Hilton Tucson St. Philip’s Plaza at the University of Arizona, Noble said.

Renovations will include new guest suites and common areas and an updated exterior, Noble said.

Homewood Suites is a chain of more than 300 all-suite, residential-style hotels managed by Hilton Worldwide.

The 129-suite Windmill Suites in Chandler, next to Chandler Fashion Center, will be renovated and rebranded the Hyatt Place Phoenix/Chandler, Noble said.
