Gas prices slip across Ariz.

Arizona motorists saw pump prices edge a bit downward this week, reversing a recent trend, according to AAA Arizona.

The statewide average price fell about a half cent in the past week to $3.24 per gallon of regular on Friday. The national average dropped about a penny to $3.28 per gallon, AAA reported.

Tucson had the lowest average gas price among surveyed metro areas in the state, down about 2 cents in the past week at $3.16 per gallon on Friday. Flagstaff had the state's highest average price, at $3.36 per gallon, with Scottsdale a fraction of a cent lower.

tucsoncitizen.com becomes archival site

tucsoncitizen.com will become a website for the archives of the defunct Tucson Citizen, Gannett Co. Inc. announced Friday.

The free archives, dating to 1993, will be available in several days, the company said.
