The number of Tucson-area housing units sold in May was the highest in seven years.
A total of 1,437 units sold last month, statistics from the Tucson Association of Realtors Multiple Listing Service show.
The average sales price in May was flat at $190,156 compared with $192,160 in April.
New listings decreased 11.77 percent from 1,979 in April to 1,746 in May and average days on the market remained at 57.
The number of foreclosures last month rose slightly to 330 from 295 in April, records from the Pima County Recorder's Office show.
After a monthly peak of 791 in March 2011, foreclosures have been steadily dropping.
There were 6,956 foreclosures in 2011 and 5,818 in 2012. So far this year there have been 1,642.
