Southern Arizona Manufacturing Partners (SAMP), an industry-led initiative to develop the region’s manufacturing workforce, has launched a new website at

Founded in 2012 to address a regional shortage in qualified machinists, SAMP places high school students in internships with local manufacturers and works one-on-one with students to help them develop required industry skills.

The group has worked with Tucson High Magnet School, Desert View High School, and Pima Community College to develop curricula with nationally recognized, industry-validated credentials.
