A new event was held Tuesday on the University of Arizona mall for students of the university's McGuire Entrepreneurship Program to publicly present their innovative ventures for the first time.

The McGuire Center for Entrepreneurship is part of the UA's Eller College of Management.

"McGuire on the Mall" featured all 21 new venture teams from the McGuire Entrepreneurship Program class of 2014. This year’s teams span a range of industries: medical products for humans and equines, app development, e-commerce, physical goods, and food and hospitality start-ups, program officials said in a news release.

For details about the ventures, see www.entrepreneurship.arizona.edu/events/onthemall.asp

Visitors to Tuesday's event could try beta products and have their feedback incorporated into final products, and sign up for exclusive early loyalty programs for benefits and discounts on products after launch.
