Z Gallerie, known for its stylish furniture, home decor and art, has closed at Park Place mall, 5870 E. Broadway.

The store was the only Z Gallerie in Tucson and opened in 2000. There are three other Arizona locations in

Scottsdale and Mesa.

Mall management did not say why the store closed.

“We’re constantly evaluating our tenant mix to meet the needs and expectations of our customers,” said Brighid Brown, marketing manager at Park Place mall. “Our goal is to provide the best in retail and entertainment for our guests.”

In the last year, the mall has opened Best Buy Mobile, Shasa, Shoe Palace, Dairy Queen, Sprint and P.S. from Aeropostale. It has also relocated and opened new stores for a number of existing tenants.

As of now, there are no new retailers moving into the space vacated by Z Gallerie, Brown said.

A spokesman for Z Gallerie, Gordon Andahl, declined to answer questions about the store’s closure here but said via email, “We look forward to continue to serve our customers at a store nearby or online at zgallerie.com.”
