  • Saguaro National Park: The park was recognized by the Healthy Arizona Worksites Program as achieving the Silver Award of excellence in worksite wellness. The Healthy Arizona Worksite Award recognizes employers that are making efforts to positively affect the health and well-being of their employees, their families and their community by implementing comprehensive worksite wellness strategies.
  • Pima County Fiduciary: The Arizona Fiduciaries Association has named Pima County Fiduciary Peter Santini Fiduciary of the Year. The Arizona Fiduciaries Association provides structure, guidance, training and continuing education for licensed fiduciaries. Santini has been with the Pima County Fiduciary’s Office for more than 20 years. The Public Fiduciary serves as a court-appointed guardian or conservator for vulnerable adults . The office works to protect the legal rights and financial interests of clients in probate court and as the estate administrator of deceased persons when no one else serves in that capacity.
  • Arizona Commerce Authority: The ACA has named six awardees in the Spring 2017 round of the Arizona Innovation Challenge. The ACA provides $3 million in grants annually to the most qualified, innovative startups and early-stage companies. Each company receives up to $250,000 in capital to grow their business — advancing innovation and technology commercialization opportunities in Arizona. Companies located anywhere in the world are eligible, so long as they plan to establish operations and commercialize their product or service in Arizona if they are awarded an AIC grant. The local awardees are Codelucida of Tucson and Hydronalix of Sahuarita. Other Arizona winners include: Attribytes of Chandler, ClickIPO of Scottsdale, Electric Torque Machines of Flagstaff, and Naya Energy of Phoenix.
