How would you use your position as an elected official to help businesses create jobs in Southern Arizona?
Monitor regulations as too many legislators tend to over regulate. Propose business friendly regulations and not business killer regs.

Should the qualifications for Medicaid or AHCCCS be broadened to make more people eligible?

No.  President GW Bush’s admin put together many health care plans that have not been utilized much.  It allows for sliding scale healthcare payment plans.   Expanding ahcccs qualifications only allows for the program to be abused.

If you were in a position to vote on SB1070, would you have voted for or against it?

AGAINST IT!!  It seems that Arizona state legislators did not have anything better to do that write more intrusive laws.  There were too many federal laws that were rewritten to make them state laws.   It shows that those legislators had nothing to do those years.  And for that show of nothing, their salaries should be revoked and those legislators should be demanded to return their pay to the state treasury.

In a world of finite resources, what if anything would you be willing to cut to better fund education?

1. Eliminate congress’ travel pay and reduce salary.  Completely repeal congress’ automatic pay increase.   2.  Greed starts at the top.  Therefore, any school receiving federal funds should cap the salary of their top administrators allowing more funds to trickle down to those teachers.   There are many unemployed administrators who would take a lower pay in order to get back to work.

Should local government fight to keep the Rosemont Copper Mine out or encourage the company to stay?

Stay.  The biggest issue with Rosemont mines is water.  Instead of forcing Rosemont to expend monies to defend its rights to mine on their property, Rosemont should be encouraged to use those same funds to find the resolution to water shortage.  One resolution is to force them to truck in water from de-sal plants.

What is the most important issue in your race?

Encouraging voters to listen to the candidates making sure that the elected individuals will not support bigger government.   Encouraging voters to take back control of our government by not voting for democrats or republicans as our government is dysfunctional due to the control of the DNC and RNC.  Those two institutions are the true controllers of our country and the true failures of our country.  Neither party will support the other because of partisanship.
