Rachel Santay, left, as Roxy and Chezale Rodriguez as Velma in Studio Connections' "Chicago."

Get ready for all that jazz: "Chicago" is coming to the Zuzi stage.

Studio Connections and the daVinci Players take a temporary leave from its cozy theater at St. Francis in the Foothills to mount the musical about murders, mayhem and mightily greedy dames.

It's a big venture, hence the bigger theater.

The musical - which has made a couple stops in Tucson courtesy of Broadway in Tucson, and was produced by Catalina Foothills High School a few years back - is a bluesy marvel by John Kander and Fred Ebb.

The story weaves around Roxie Hart and Velma Kelly, sultry murderesses in jazz-time Chicago.

Robert Encila directs. Performances are 7:30 p.m. Friday, Saturday and next Thursday, and 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Zuzi Theater, 738 N. Fifth Ave. Continues through Oct. 15. Tickets are $28, with discounts available: www.studioconnections.net or brownpapertickets.com and 1-800-838-3006.
