There are just four more chances to catch a free concert in the park this season.

The volunteer Arizona Symphonic Winds and the professional Tucson Pops Orchestra will finish their spring seasons June 8 and 9.

• On Saturday, the Symphonic Winds turn their attention to the "Sweet Sound of Cello," featuring guest artist Theodore Buchholz. The cellist, who is on the faculty of Pima Community College and plays with the Tucson Symphony Orchestra, will perform the popular Saint-Saens' Cello Concerto.

• On Sunday, the Tucson Pops Orchestra will feature guests violinists George Blum and José Leonardi Reyes in a program that includes selections from "Guys and Dolls," Dvorák's Two Slavonic Dances and Alfred Reed's arrangement of Bach's "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring."

The Winds perform at 7 p.m. Saturdays at Udall Park, 7200 E. Tanque Verde Road; the Pops, comprising mostly TSO players, perform at 7 p.m. Sundays at Reid Park's DeMeester Outdoor Performance Center, East 22nd Street and South Country Club Road.

Admission for either is free, although both groups, under the baton of conductor László Veres, accept donations. Details: or
