The Rhythm Industry Performance Factory opens its doors to the Dance Floor every third Saturday for glorious dancing in just your style. No matter what that style is.

"It started with my love of dance," says Marnie Sharp, who organizes the Dance Floor and manages Rhythm Industry.

This is dance for the joy of it, and the evenings are structured so that everyone - from kids on up - feels the movement any way he or she wants.

"I try to keep it fun, energetic and eclectic," she says. "It's '60s to contemporary music, fun, world, blues. If its danceable, we play it. We have a variety to try to please everyone."

An added bonus: It's a shoe-free dance floor.

"My intention is a very fun, safe all-ages dance event," she explains.

Catch the next one on June 15 at 8 to 10:30 p.m. at 1013 S. Tyndall Ave. It's a $5 evening, and children 12 and under are free. More at
