Juilliard-trained Jonathan Batiste and his band, Stay Human, will perform at Hotel Congress.

Jonathan Batiste’s résumé is sprinkled with a long list of high-profile achievements.

He was raised as a member of Louisiana’s musical Batiste family and trained at the Juilliard School in New York City.

He has released several albums, appeared in movies and on television, and was recently named the associate artistic director at the National Jazz Museum in Harlem.

The most impressive aspect: Batiste is only 26 years old.

The young pianist and composer will make his Tucson debut with his band, Stay Human, performing four shows at Hotel Congress, next Thursday through Nov. 9.

The gigs are part of UApresents’ 2013-14 concert series. Showtimes are at 7:30 p.m. next Thursday-Nov. 9 with a second 10 p.m. show on Nov. 8.
