July 1 through 8 is Freedom Week at Pima Animal Care CenterThere's no adoption fee for the first 50 animals adopted (the standard $15 licensing fee still applies for adult dogs). Once PACC reaches 51 adoptions, the base adoption fee for July will be $30 – and every adopter will get a chance for an extra discount, too. All animals waiting with PACC for more than two weeks have no adoption fee, and every Friday is Free Cat Friday.

The Humane Society of Southern Arizona’s main campus will be closed on Friday, but PAWSH stores at La Encantada, 2905 E Skyline Drive, will be open from 10 a.m.-6p.m. and Park Place at 5870 E. Broadway will be open from 10 a.m.-5p.m. The main campus will reopen July 5 at 11 a.m.  The HSSA will have $15 adult dogs and cats and $50 puppies, kittens and purebreds. Promotions will be extended to both PAWSH and PetSmart locations.
