Seems the third time was the charm for KIIM 99.5 FM's Buzz Jackson. The station's program director/afternoon drive-time DJ was named the 2010 Academy of Country Music's Medium Market Air Personality of the year.

It was the third year that Jackson has been up for the honor and the fourth time KIIM has been nominated for an ACM. His award marks the first time KIIM has won an ACM.

In a written release, Jackson said: “This is one of the high points of my career. I’ve wanted to win one of these for years. I’d like to thank my actual family for putting up with the antics of my radio family. A special thank you to KiiM-FM Head Traffic Ranger Kricket for being an integral part of each afternoon on the radio. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have to go update my Facebook status!"

The ACMs will be awarded in Las Vegas on April 18; it will be broadcast live on KOLD Channel 13.

Arizona DJs snagged two ACMs this year. Phoenix's KNIX morning crew of Ben & Matt (Ben Campbell and Matt McAllister) were named Major Market Personality of the year.
