Artifact Dance Project has called Tucson home since its first performance six years ago, yet has had no space to call its own.

But those days are gone.

The company has a new headquarters in the historic Warehouse District, at 17 E. Toole Ave.

It’s a big step for Artifact, which has performed around the world and racked up much praise since its first performance.

Artifact, which pulls in a variety of arts disciplines for its impressive shows, officially opens the warehouse Sept. 1.

But it has a bit of business to take care of first: namely, raising the money to make the Artifact Dance Project Studios ready for the leaping, twisting and gliding that defines dance.

It’s looking to raise a modest $10,000 to upgrade and renovate the warehouse space.
