Country singer Lee Brice, fresh off his Academy of Country Music win for Song of the Year, is an all-around sentimental guy. For proof, just shoot over to YouTube and punch up the video for “I Don’t Dance,” the gorgeously romantic song he penned for his bride when they married last year.
”I don’t dance, but here I am / Spinning you around and around in circles / It ain’t my style, but I don’t care / I’d do anything with you anywhere / Yes, you got me in the palm of your hand / ‘Cause, I don’t dance.”
Go ahead, say it: Awwwwwwwwww.
The song was recently named one of the hottest first-dance wedding tunes around. And it will no doubt be a highlight when Brice plays the Pima County Fair at 8 p.m. Saturday. He’ll probably put it somewhere between his rocking “Parking Lot Party,” the inspirational “Love Like Crazy” and his tear-jerker ACM Song of the Year “I Drive Your Truck.”
Admission to the show is free with fair admission: $8, and $3 for kids 6 to 10. Parking is $5.
The fair runs through Sunday at the Pima County Fairgrounds, 11300 S. Houghton Road.
