Serial Grillers Pizza to open by late August.

Serial Grillers — the food truck with the macabre sense of humor when it comes to the names of its cheesesteak sandwiches and burgers — is venturing off in an entirely different direction.

Owners Travis and William Miller are opening a pizza joint with pies that take their names from Hollywood-made serial killers like Mr. Brooks (salami, bacon and pepperoni), Texas Chainsaw Massacre (diced chicken against a canvas of white BBQ sauce) and the Bone Collector (boneless Buffalo style pizza wings on a bed of ranch dressing).

Serial Grillers Pizza, Salad, Subs — nicknamed Serial Grillers #2 — will be in a former carryout pizza restaurant at 5737 E. Speedway. Travis Miller said the brothers hope to be open by month’s end.

Meanwhile, the original Serial Grillers food truck is parked from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays at 22nd & Pantano Food Truck Court, 7889 E. 22nd St.
