Southside residents won't have to travel far to get a taste of the Midwest classic frozen custard.

In late August, Kyle Kolsrud will open his second location of Culver's, the Wisconsin burger and custard chain that made inroads into Tucson in 2011. This one will be off South Kino Parkway and Interstate 10, across the street from Costco.

Kolsrud owns the Culver's at 6905 N. Thornydale Road in Marana. Tucson's two other Culver's — 4810 N. First Ave. and 40 S. Broadway Place — are owned by franchisee Kevin Hart.
