Denim & Diamonds country music night club plans to open Friday night in the former home of the Cactus Moon.

But patrons will have to wait until April 4 to eat at Double DD's Pizza, located inside the club. The restaurant will be open at 11 a.m. daily and closes at 2 a.m.

Odessa, Texas-based Graham Brothers Entertainment had hoped to have both ventures open by last Halloween, but construction work pushed it back.

The company operates Denim & Diamond clubs in Mesa, Texas and Kansas.

Gary Graham, the former owner of Cactus Moon, has no business affiliation with Graham Brothers, which is owned by his siblings. Cactus Moon had been in business at 5470 E. Broadway for 23 years when it was booted in July 2012 after falling $25,000 behind in rent.

Graham Brothers Entertainment has operated country music-themed clubs and restaurants in Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Kansas and the Phoenix area since the 1970s.
