The 2 1/2-year-old Frogs Organic Bakery on Oracle and Ina roads is moving to Los Angeles.

The French bakery, with head chef Jean-Luc Labat in the kitchen, will close after Friday; it's closed today and Tuesday and reopens at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday. Hours: 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Friday.

Frogs has been baking French pastries and breads and crafting gooey, rich grilled sandwiches and hearty soups since December 2010. In a note posted on its Facebook page, it said the bakery’s last day would be Friday. No reason was given for the move.

“It is at the same time sad to leave such wonderful people in the Tucson area and also exciting for the Frogs team to meet a new challenge” in the Los Angeles area, the note said.

Frogs is co-owned by Labat and his wife, Isabelle, and fellow Frenchman Marc Lory.

It is located at 7109 N. Oracle Road at Ina Road, in the Casas Adobes Plaza.Details: 229-2124 or here.
