IHOP, the leader in all things pancake, is celebrating National Pancake Day today with free pancakes from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. at participating restaurants.

You can get a free short stack of buttermilk flapjacks for the asking and the national breakfast chain hopes you'll kick in a donation for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, which have programs at Tucson Medical Center.

In eight years, IHOP has raised more than $10 million dollars — more than $3 million for 2012 alone — for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and other local charities, according to officials.

The company hopes this year to match last year's $3 million.

Tucson has several IHOP restaurants including at 4187 N. Oracle Road, 1500 W. Grant Road and 8445 N. Cerius Stravenue off Intersate 10 and Cortaro Road.
