Kababeque Indian Grill will tear down the brown paper that has covered the windows and door the past couple months and unveil a new, invigorated space.
The restaurant at 845 E. University Blvd. kababeque indian grill is expected to reopen this weekend, once it has passed the final city inspections, said General Manager Chandra Meanger.
Work over the past two months included redoing the kitchen and installing new equipment, and remodeling the dining room to open up more space.
“It’s a small space,” said Meanger. “We wanted to give it a facelift and create more space. We have revamped the whole restaurant and put in a new storefront” that includes accordion-style windows.
Kababeque has been on East University for 10 years. Meanger said the menu will stay mostly the same and prices might go up a bit. He said it’s been a few years since the restaurant has incased prices.
Kababeque will be open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. Meanger said at some point, the hours might be extended to 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
