The small space in the Cortaro Plaza seems to be custom-made for a pizza joint.

Years ago, it was home to Lococo’s Pizzeria and in late June it will be home to Dominick’s Real Italian.

The restaurant, owned by longtime Tucson restaurant manager Lindsey Fisher, will specialize in pizzas, pastas and Italian sandwiches. The 36-seat restaurant, named after Fisher's grandfather, will occupy 1,600 square feet in the plaza,8330 N. Thornydale Road, on the southeast corner of Cortaro Farms Road.
