Good news: the kitchen at Maynards Market & Kitchen is still open.
Some people might have thought otherwise when they saw the butcher’s paper go up on the windows about two weeks ago. That’s about when the owners of Maynards started renovating the market, recreating it into more of a fast-casual gourmet grab-and-go store.
Instead of handmade soap and locally roasted coffee beans, you will be able to get made-to-order sandwiches, piping hot coffee or espresso and locally made honey.
Construction should take a few more weeks. Until it’s finished, the restaurant is open from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, 11:30 a.m. to at least 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays 9 a.m. -2 p.m. (brunch) and 5 -9 p.m. (dinner) Sundays.
