"Menu" air live on KQTH beginning March 5, according to the show's host Matt Russell. The show will run from 5 to 6 p.m. Saturdays.
KEVT announced on Feb. 13 that it was transitioning to an internet station. Russell, who owns the PR firm Russell Public Communications, had initially said he would take a short hiatus while he searched for a new home for the show that explores Tucson's dining scene with those in the know, from chefs to food writers. Shows are broadcast from area restaurants.
In a news release announcing the move to KQTH, Russell said he also will host a weekly segment on food and beverage happening for the station's Tucson Morning News.
“We’re really looking forward to working with our new partners at 104.1, a station that has demonstrated for years a commitment to excellence in programming,” Russell said in a prepared statement. “We’ll be joining a line-up that includes many of Tucson’s best known local shows, which makes it such a great fit with our local focus. Plus, we’ve hit the coveted sweet spot with our new 5 p.m. slot, which means that it will likely be happy hour wherever we’ll be broadcasting from.”
