An outpost of the Dallas-based Dickey’s Barbecue Pit opens at 7850 N. Oracle Road in Oro Valley Thursday.

The restaurant, a franchise owned by Tucsonan David Wirth, will celebrate the opening with three days of give-aways and special deals:

• The first 50 people in the door when they open at 11 a.m. Thursday get a $50 Dickey's gift card.

• From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, pulled pork sandwiches are $2.

• Throughout the day Saturday, the restaurant will be giving out free merchandise.

Dickey's, in a spot in Trader Joe's plaza at North Oracle and Magee roads, will be open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily beginning Thursday. Details: Call 219-5742219-5742.
