Caffe Torino, a longtime Oro Valley Italian restaurant, will expand to Tucson's foothills.

Caffe Torino in the Foothills could open by late May or early June in the former Ric’s Cafe spot in River Center Plaza, 5605 E. River Road, said owner Daniela Borella.

Borella said she is investing about $200,000 to remodel the space, including installing inside-out doors that will allow the restaurant to spill out onto the patio. Landlord George Larsen of Larsen Baker said the improvements will open up the restaurant.
