The Tucson Symphony Orchestra is premiering Philip Glass's Double Concerto for Violin and Cello at Tucson Music Hall tonight with cellist Wendy Sutter and violinist Tim — the artists who world premiered it and recorded it with Glass.

Over at the University of Arizona's Centennial Hall, Keith Lockhart will lead the venerable Boston Pops Orchestra in a greatest-hits show, featuring all those light-classical works that have made the group one of the world's best. The show kicks off the Pops Southwest tour that includes a stop Saturday in Phoenix and several shows in California over the next two weeks.
