The owners of a Tucson food truck are slated to appear on an upcoming episode of "Food Court Wars" on The Food Network.

Ray and Kristine Key Duke, the husband-and-wife team that runs Kadooks Costa Rican, filmed scenes for the competition series at the Sierra Vista Mall, March 10-14.

The show pits two different restaurant concepts within a city or region against one another in a food court setting.

The winner receives a space at the mall where they competed, rent-free for a year.

Ray Duke said recruiters were in Tucson last October looking for potential contestants.

The Kadooks team ended up facing off against owners of J's Kitchen, an Asian cuisine food truck based in Sierra Vista.

Ray couldn't share if they won or lost, but he said that they did enjoy their time in the spotlight.

"The entire experience was outstanding," he said. "There was not a single negative experience out of the entire week of filming."

The show will tentatively air on May 21. Follow Kadooks at facebook.com/kadooksfoodtruck for updates.
