Before country superstar Jason Aldean and emerging country duo Florida Georgia Line take the stage at Des Moines, Iowa's Wells Fargo Arena Thursday night, the packed arena will get a taste of Tucson.

Duhamel Wayne Cassell, best known to Tucson country music fans as Dj Du, will be spinning dance mixes of country songs to warm up the crowd.

Cassell got the invite late last week to join Aldean on the final leg of his 2013-14 "Night Train Tour." The trek will take them through March, and Cassell, who got his Tucson start at the Cactus Moon in the late 1990s, is hoping he will continue on with Aldean in May when he launches the follow up "Burn It Down Tour."

Cassell met Aldean in summer 2012 at the Country Thunder festival in Wisconsin when Aldean joined him on stage during an after-concert electro tent party. Aldean tried his hand at the turntables and sang for the 4,000 people packed in the tent. Also that night, country rising star Luke Bryan and Texas country singer Wade Bowen  joined the party. Check out the video taken from the audience of that night.
