Interested in a boot camp focused on books instead of push-ups?

The Circle of Book Clubs is hosting Book Club Boot Camp on Sunday with Julie Robinson, a professional book club leader.

She’ll share what she knows about starting a book club, improving an established one and selecting discussion-provoking books. It’s geared to people who want to form a book club, lead a book club or regularly attend one.

The boot camp runs from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Monterey Court, 505 W. Miracle Mile. The cost is $35 ($25 is tax-deductible). There will be wine and light refreshments.

Reservations are required by 5 p.m. Friday by calling 248-2274.

Prepare for boot camp by reading “The Light Between Oceans “by M.L. Stedman, or listen via OneClickdigital download.

Robinson founded and is CEO of Literary Affairs and the Beverly Hills Literary Escape. In addition to hosting classic literary luncheons and literary tours, she runs more than 30 book clubs per month. A graduate of the University of Arizona, she has also facilitated literary panels at the Tucson Festival of Books.

The Circle of Book Clubs is a grass-roots fundraising committee of the Pima Library Foundation.
