The 2 1/2-year-old Frogs Organic Bakery is moving from its Casas Adobes home to Los Angeles.

The French bakery and lunch spot at 7109 N. Oracle Road at Ina Road will close after business hours on Friday. It is open from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. today and Friday.

Frogs, with head chef Jean-Luc Labat in the kitchen, has been baking French pastries and breads and crafting gooey, rich grilled sandwiches and hearty soups since December 2010. Labat and his business partners - his wife, Isabelle, and fellow Frenchman Marc Lory - gave no reason for the closing in a note posted on Frogs' Facebook page.

"It is at the same time sad to leave such wonderful people in the Tucson area and also exciting for the Frogs team to meet a new challenge" in the Los Angeles area, the note said.
