A memorial service will be held Saturday for Tucson restaurateur Pat Connors, who died Sunday after a months-long battle with lung cancer.

The service begins at 11:30 a.m. in the Catalina Room of the Sheraton Tucson Hotel & Suites, 5151 E. Grant Road.

Connors, who was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in October, held what he called a ‘pre-wake wake’ celebration at his Pastiche Food and Drink restaurant five days before he died.

Hundreds of people attended on Feb. 28 to say a final farewell. Connors, 48, had been in hospice care since Feb. 20.

His sister-in-law, Molly Becker, said Connors’ remains will be sent to Ireland to be interred with his parents. His father, C. Patrick Connors, died last September, just weeks before Connors was diagnosed.
