• Where: 7401 N. La Cholla Blvd., in the Foothills Mall.

• Year Opened: 1997.

• Hours: 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays, 11 a.m.-midnight Fridays and Saturdays.

• Happy hour: $3 pints 3-7 p.m. daily. Half-price appetizer 3-7 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.

• Number of beers on tap: Between nine and 12, plus a rotating specialty beer. The specialty beer this month is Gulden Draak.

• Best-selling beer: Deep Canyon Amber, though it's worth noting that the Roadrunner Red Lager won a gold medal at last year's Great American Beer Fest.

• Cost of a pint: $4.

• Signature menu item: Fish and chips made with Alaskan pollock, breaded and fried.

• Beer to go: Full-sized kegs are $125, and pony kegs cost $75. Fruit beers and some stronger beers are not available in kegs.

• Best thing about Thunder Canyon Brewery: Get your own 20-ounce mug that hangs over the bar for $35. Then, when you order beer in the future, you get 20 ounces for the price of a pint (16-ounces).

• Biggest brewery drawback: The location. Surrounded by big-box retailers in the Foothills Mall, it's easy to forget Thunder Canyon is locally owned.

• Other places to get Thunder Canyon Brewery beer: None.
