Maybe it's the neighborhood greasy spoon that serves up a side of attitude with your eggs over easy and hash browns. Or a family diner that you've gone to with the kids and Grandma in tow every Saturday for years.

Or perhaps it's getting dressed up to go to the fancy resort that makes a splurge-worthy Sunday brunch for a special-occasion indulgence.

These days breakfast isn't just for, well, breakfast at many Tucson eateries. The year-old The Abbey, at East Sunrise Drive and North Kolb Road, has a popular Breakfast for Dinner dish with sweet potato waffle and duck confit with two eggs and bourbon maple syrup. Waffles with maple syrup are the cornerstone of half the menu at Mays Counter Chicken & Waffles.
