2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil starts next Thursday, and to celebrate, FC Tucson and the Loft Cinema are presenting a one-night-only screening of “Next Goal Wins.” The documentary is about the underdog soccer team American Samoa (called “the worst football team on Earth”), and its quest to score its first-ever competitive win. The event, which includes a Skype Q&A with coach Thomas Rongen, starts at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Loft, 3233 E. Speedway. Admission is $8; $5 for ages 12 and under.

FC Tucson players and coaches will be there and available to sign autographs and take pictures with fans before the screening. Bookmans Sports Exchange is providing an outdoor foosball table along with soccer-related raffle prizes.
