Singer Dierks Bentley performed on Day 2 of the recent Stagecoach Music Festival at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, Calif.

Grammy-nominated country singer Dierks Bentley is coming home to the Phoenix area this summer to open an old-style honky tonk.

Bentley, who grew up in Scottsdale, will open Dierks Bentley's Whiskey Row in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale with a party July 4. Bentley is partners in the venture with Riot Hospitality group, which operates El Hefe Super Macho Taqueria.

Dierks Bentley's Whiskey Row, 4420 N. Saddlebag Trail, is described in a press release as a modern country take on a 1920s-style saloon. The club will host weekly performances by regional and national country artists, and serve gastropub fare that uses organic meats and locally farmed produce.

But here's the news that will excite many of his fans: tableside beer and liquor taps. That way, according to the press release, you can pour your own shots and drinks with no waiting.

Beginning July 4, the 5,200-square-foot country bar will be open from 11 a.m. until 2 a.m. Mondays through Fridays and from 10 a.m. until 2 a.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Details:
