Comedian Larry the Cable Guy brings his blue-collar perspective to Tucson on the Season 3 premiere of his television series "Only in America" Wednesday.

The episode, airing on the History channel, takes Larry to locations around Southern Arizona, including the Rooster Cogburn Ostrich Ranch near Picacho Peak and the Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group, the military aircraft storage installation known as "The Boneyard."

"I never knew a place like that existed," Larry said in a recent conference call interview. "I don't think a lot of people do."

Larry, whose real name is Daniel Whitney, said he has always had a good relationship with Arizonans.

When his kids get out of school, Sedona is on his list of possible retirement destinations.

"I feel kind of related to people in Arizona," he said.

The season premiere of "Only in America" airs at 9 p.m. Wednesday.
