On Saturday, March 31, The Loft Cinema is screening George A. Romero's "Night of the Living Dead." Harvard's Dr. Steven C. Schlozman, zombie expert, will be on hand to discuss all things zombie and his book, "The Zombie Autopsies: Secret Notebooks from the Apocalypse".

But before that you can chat with Dr. Schlozman on StarNet. On Friday, March 30 at 4 p.m., StarNet will host a live online chat with Dr. Schlozman. He will answer your questions about all things dead and living dead.

Leading up to Friday's chat we'll offer up all kinds of zombie fun every day. Today we give you a way to run a little faster during your workout - let zombies chase you.

If you want to make your run around the block or on the treadmill a little more intersting download the "Zombies, run!" app on your iPhone.

Here's the description:

"You tie your shoes, put on your headphones, take your first steps outside. You’ve barely covered 100 yards when you hear them. They must be close. You can hear every guttural breath, every rattling groan - they’re everywhere. Zombies. There’s only one thing you can do: Run!"

Within the game you can collect all the supplies you need to survive a zombie apocalypse. You can also listen to your own music, if you dare.

Need a more realistic zombie encounter?

There's no Arizona event, unfortunately, but for the true zombie enthusiast a trip to Southern California is all that stands between you and a herd of zombies.

Here's the description:

"Runners will navigate a series of challenging obstacles throughout a 5K course in an attempt to reach the finish line — all while avoiding zombies."

Call him "Dr. Zombie." Steven C. Schlozman is a Harvard psychiatrist and a zombie expert. He can throw down terms like ataxic neurodegenerative satiety deficiency syndrome (ANSD) - the virus that turns humans into zombies in his freshly released book "The Zombie Autopsies: Secret Notebooks from the Apocalypse" - and wax poetic about "Night of the Living Dead."

The avid horror fan is speaking at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 31 at The Loft Cinema's "Science on Screen." He'll also participate in a live chat on StarNet on Friday, March 30 at 4 p.m. at live.azstarnet.com.
